I'm sure that most of you, if not all of you, know who Chef Michael Smith is. No? Okay well if you don't, you probably live under a rock. Anyways, he's probably the best modern well known chef in Canada. He has a few shows in the food network channel including Chef at Home, and Chef at Large.
Now, who am I? Well, my names Nikko Adrias. I'm a grade 12 student in St. Patricks Regional Secondary in Vancouver, B.C. No I'm not famous, nor am I a professional chef. I'm just a kid who hopes to become like Chef Michael Smith one day.
So, what I'm going to attempt to do is this. A few months back, my mom met Chef Michael at a conference in Toronto. He gave her a copy of his cookbook as well as a recomendation for me to attend VCC and their Culinary Arts program. Now that I have that in mind as well as his cookbook, I will attempt to do all of the recipes in his cookbook and then blog about it afterwards. This sound familiar to you? If it does it's probably because you've watched Julie and Julia. This is pretty much from the inspiration of that movie, but on a smaller scale.
With that, get comfy, prepare your taste buds, and follow along with me on my journey to
"cook with and without a recipe."
